Sydney again!

Sydney again!

A cup of coffee to prep myself for the flight.

The view from my hotel room.

Just roaming the streets.

Food festival that pretty much sold lots of Asian food.

A dozen of Toscano's Macaroons that I bought!

Dinner @ Strand Hotel. (4 bottles of Chardonnay)

At Hugo's! (A Spanish Club)

First time partying abroad!

4 more bottle of Chardonnay.

At the Casino.

The Baccarat table.

I kinda thought there wasn't much to explore in Sydney already, but boy was I proven wrong this time round! I guess it all depends on the company that we travel with and how much time we have!

After settling into my hotel room with my roommate and taking an hour's worth of nap, we decided to head out and roam the streets and of course head to Woolsworth as usual!

At night, we joined the rest at Strand Hotel for dinner and it just so happened that Thursday nights there were dubbed as "Trivia Night". So everyone decided to take part in it and our group won a voucher at the end of the 2 part trivia session whilst eating dinner and drinking our 4 bottles of Chardonnay!

We decided to head to KingsCross to party, and we ended up at a Spanish club.
I was kinda excited to be partying abroad for the first time especially cos it was a Spanish club!
I really loved the disco balls hanging on the ceiling of the dance floor, so sparkly!
The first segment of the night was a live performance with drums, after which was the usual party music except it was all in Spanish! I enjoyed watching the locals dance because they actually danced the kind of ballroom dance! So nice to watch.

I really enjoyed my trip to Sydney this time round!

TianJin, China.
Monday 15 October 2012 @ 08:33 | 0 notes

Day 1 TianJin,China.

The view of the concert hall, such beautiful architecture.

Us outside our hotel.

Steamboat for lunch; Sze Chuan, Duck soup & Tom Yam.

 Giant Frappe.

Posing in the freezing weather.

Concert hall at night.

Such an amazing structure.

First time in TianJin and OMG the weather was extremely cold! The temperature could drop from 21 degrees to 9 degrees?! I was so glad I had brought clothes to do layering for my outfits because I still hadn't found a pretty trench coat worth spending on.

After checking in to the hotel (which btw was AMAZING), we went to fill our tummies with steamboat to keep ourselves warm.

Day 2 BeiJing, China.

 OOTD

 Outside the train station!

On the business class seats headed to BeiJing.

Aidil.

Adit.

Nadiya.

 Streets of BeiJing.

Group picture at BeiJing South train station.

To be honest, I rarely travel to mandarin speaking countries and didn't know what exactly to expect. Me and Adit didn't manage to get onto the train with the rest, I panicked! HE WAS TOTALLY CALM, me being the only mandarin speaking one panicked whereas he (didn't know how to speak mandarin) was calming me down. For those of you who don't know, mandarin isn't my strongest language. I didn't grow up learning chinese for the most of part of my childhood, which explains me panicking.

But to sum it up, I really enjoyed myself and was happy to experience being in BeiJing especially with the awesome group I traveled with.

Sydney after 7 years.

Sydney after 7 years.

 Rump Steak for lunch!

Headed for lunch across my hotel with the rest and I was so happy to finally get some steak into my system after such a long flight!

Shades on.

With my room mate!

Roaming the streets with the girls!

So happy to get some shopping done and explore more of the streets.

 Beautiful architecture.

Happy to be back!

My room mate!

After having lunch and doing some grocery shopping at Woolsworth and buying a really gorgeous dress that caught my eye, we headed back to the hotel to catch some shut eye.

Some of us went out at night, grabbed a bite and headed to Coles. We happened to pass by KingsCross and let me just say that it isn't safe to roam that street at night without any guys around. Thank goodness we had two guys with us throughout.

On a side note, the hotel doesn't have any wifi services which was the only down side I guess. I'm so getting a phone card the next time round!

I really enjoyed my short stay there with everyone and I'm looking forward to travelling to other destinations.
